Price
For most people, their budget dictates where they start
looking for a wedding photographer. Our prices are towards the middle of
the 'market range', meaning they reflect the going rate for high standard
photographers whilst remaining competitive. For more information about the
packages we offer, click here.
Ability
Once a shortlist has been drawn up based on budget, the next stage of looking for a wedding photographer is to try and judge the photographer's ability. This can be done in two ways; firstly by looking at their portfolio of wedding photography (not always reliable as photographs can easily be stolen from the web) and secondly by seeing which professional photography bodies they belong to. Both of our photographers are not only highly trained (by the Royal Navy no less!) they are both Associates of the British Institute of Professional Photography (BIPP).
BIPP have three levels of membership, and all three require a portfolio of work to be submitted for judging and assessment. To reach Associateship (the level Emma and Brett hold) photographers must achieve 'a high standard of craftsmanship and creative ability'.
As well as professional qualifications, Emma and Brett also have actual Graphistudio wedding albums that accurately represent the exceptional standards you can expect should you commission them for your wedding photography.
Personality
When you are eventually happy with the price and ability of the photographers in your shortlist, the final decision on who you go for usually comes down to the personality (or lack of!) of the photographer. Are they easy to get on with? This is often overlooked but is an essential element as you will be spending the vast majority of your wedding with them around. Are they professional and well presented? Are they reliable? A good way of gauging if Emma and / or Brett are the right photographers for you is by having a free consultation. This can be done at your home or theirs, and is a good way for you to decide if you like them and also to get a hands-on look at their portfolios. A consultation is vital before making your decision about who will eventually be your wedding photographer. Turner Photographic offer this service without obligation and free of charge.
