GRAND REOPENING - July 12th is the date we have set. We will give you a personal tour of the new store - have drawings - play games - have door prizes, refreshments and sales. Everything in the store will be at least 10% off. After we ring up your purchases you will get to draw to see if your total will be 10%, 20% 30% 40% or even 50% off. It promises to be a great day so come join us at our simply wonderful new store. Bella Vista Plaza. 1225 Central Ave. #14, McKinleyville, CA.

To celebrate our grand reopening month we are have a special drawing - For every $35 that you spend during the month of July, you will receive a ticket that will go in a basket for a drawing at the end of the month. The prize will be a $50 Gift Certificate for Handmade Memories. The more tickets you have the better chance you have of winning so remember "It's not shopping, it's retail therapy".

Weaverville Creative Escape - July is here and it is time for our Creative Escape - July 18th -20th we will be enjoying fun and sun in Weaverville. We have a great group going so start getting ready. You can bring any project or projects that you would like to work on. Some people bring knitting (finish up those entries for the Fair), scrapbooking, card making. quilting, reading or whatever else you would like. I personally take a bunch of stuff and usually spend most of my time visiting, swimming and just plain enjoying the weekend. Remember, this is an all-inclusive weekend, so your room, rec room, pool, food, prizes, mini classes, goodie bags & snacks are all included in your registration price. We check in Friday afternoon so you are responsible for your own lunch that day and of course if you want to shop in beautiful downtown Weaverville that will be up to you also. All reservations must be paid for by July 1st so that I can get the final details set with the Weaverville Victorian Inn.

The total cost per person for the weekend is:
1 person per room - $240
2 people per room - $205
3 people per room - $170
4 people per room - $155

Midnight Free For All - or as some of us like to call it "All You Can Knit Night", will be July 11th and August 8th. Our midnight knit is once a month on Friday night. We get together and knit and visit until midnight - you are welcome to bring a snack to share if you would like but we have no real rules - just come, get to know other knitters (of course we also have people that crochet, weave & spin) and have a good time. Our Midnight Free for All Special for these two months will be all books 40% off regular price.

Contest - You still have time to enter our summer contest. You have a chance to win a $50 gift certificate from Handmade Memories by making a summer top. All you need to do is buy your yarn specifically for this project and make any adult size summer top that you want - that's all there is to it. Your entry needs to be in the last day of July and the judging will be the next week. Anyone that comes into the store that week gets a vote. The winner will be announced the 9th of August.
